As we come towards the end of 2023 we've got plenty of highlights and milestone moments to celebrate from this year, starting with the Mayor of Burnley visiting the Burnley Empire in September.

When the Mayor visited he was so kind, encouraging and very supportive of the future use of the Burnley Empire. We hope the next time he visits there'll be much more progress to talk about.

Thanks to the support of Theatres Trust through the Resilient Theatres : Resilient Communities Grant Programme Fund we were able to carry out extensive surveys throughout the stage house that was previously inaccessible.

Earlier this year we had a revisit from Frank and his Action Man colleague from Climb-Max to carry out essential ceiling net maintenance throughout auditorium at the Burnley Empire. This work was funded alongside other building work through the first round of Burnley's Shared Prosperity Fund.

Opening the Burnley Empire for the first time to the general public for Heritage Open Days was a real milestone and achievement that we are all very proud of.
