We've been doing a lot of planning over the past few months and this week UK Restoration Services have very kindly fitted the iconic #BurnleyEmpire with a new door.
The door that has been installed at the bottom of Cow Lane is fundamental to enabling safe access for contractors so the essential work can commence.
This is all working towards restoring, reviving and reinvigoration Burnley's only Grade II listed purpose-built Victorian theatre, which was built-in 1894.
By the end of 2020 we hope to have begun essential works to stabilise the most vulnerable parts of the roof and remove the asbestos from the ground floor of the auditorium. Keep following us on all socials @BurnleyEmpire to follow our progress .
